Background

Solomon's research interests include mobile and context-aware computing, smart learning environments, pervasive and interactive systems. His current focus is on developing smart technology and games to support education, health and wellbeing. He has received a number of research funding, including the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Japan, Jenny and Antti Wihuri Postdoctoral Fellowship in Finland, and the University of Eastern Finland research mobility grant to Athabasca University, Canada. He was the coordinator of the EU-LAC project titled "Smart Ecosystem for Learning and Inclusion (SELI, http://seliproject.org)". He acquired teaching, research, funding and project management skills over several years of international work and partnership across Europe, Latin America, Caribbean, Asia and Africa, He is the initiator and founder of the Centre for Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation (CMRI).
